"With almost 2 years of stand-up comedy experience in Dublin, I have honed my craft in English, despite Portuguese being my native language. My performances are a fusion of Brazilian and Irish cultural references, as well as improvisation that keeps the audience engaged and entertained."
Stand-Up Comedy Journey
My journey on stage began in my teens in Brazil, where I dived into the world of comedy through drama classes, performing in plays, and even taking on key roles in comedy short films.Miriame’s journey on stage began in her teens in Brazil, where she honed her craft through four years of drama classes, performing in four plays, and taking on a key role in the comedy short film "A Voz" ("The Voice").
Transitioning to stand-up comedy, she has spent nearly two years captivating audiences in Dublin, performing in English—a remarkable achievement given that Portuguese is her native language. Her rapid growth in the Dublin comedy scene speaks to her talent and adaptability.
This foundation laid the groundwork for my comedic style that blends cultural observations, LGBTQ+ insights, personal anecdotes and oversharing my life stories.
Fusion Comedy Club
Aside from solo performances, I co-founded Fusion Comedy Club in Dublin, with two fellow comedians, where we rotate hosting duties and showcasing amazing talent on their Open Mic Nights. This collaborative platform allows us to celebrate diversity in comedy and provide a stage for new voices to shine.
Book Club "Chaotic Discussions: a book club about non monogamy"
My passion for exploring societal norms and non-monogamy led me to create a book club dedicated to providing a safe space for Ethical Non Monogamous (ENM) individuals to share their experiences and exchange perspectives. This initiative aims to challenge conventional narratives through literature and dialogue.
At the moment the discussions are only available for Portuguese speakers, but if you would be interested in an English speaker group, please let us know!
